Paige didn't say anything, just pushed away from the wall and entered the booth. She took the longest time, and when she finally came out, she was in tears beyond belief. I hate myself. I hate myself. I hate myself…

John immediately hugged her again and let her tears fall on his shirt. This was his fault. He shouldn’t have even talked to her earlier today. She had said she was calm earlier, but now? This was his fault, “I’m sorry,” He whispered to her over and over again.
Paige gripped him tightly and kissed him softly to get him to stop talking. She pulled away only inches before whispering, "No. I am."
John started to panic, “What for?” If she decided she wasn’t voting at all… If she died… John looked at her with wide, panicked eyes.
Paige closed her eyes so she didn't have to look at his. They almost made her want to change her mind. Almost.
“P-Paige?” John whispered. She couldn’t die. Not now. Not ever. Her kiss only ghosted his lips now, the panic taking over, “Paige?” He repeated shakily.
Paige clung closer to John, not letting herself answer. Her heart throbbed against her chest, and she prayed that he couldn't feel it.
John held her. He could guess what she wasn’t saying. He tried to shake off the tears, but a few slipped out as he spoke shakily, “Please,” This was her decision entirely, but if she truly wasn’t voting… John didn’t want her to die. He held back a sob, “Paige…”
