Paris walked out of walmart, a 12 pack of ginger ale cans in one hand, swedish fish and midol in a grocery bag in the other. She stuck the groceries in the passenger seat, and got in the drivers seat and drove back towards the hotel.
"Okay" Madylin replied, and opened the door for Brennan.
Brennan walked in, Jay still in a state of half-sleep on the bed. Brennan resisted the urge to glance over at his friend. He sat down on the chair, using his peripheral vision to look at Jay.
Madylin followed him in. when he sat down she squeezed Brennans shoulder and then walked over to the bed and sat beside Jay.
Jay had his eyes closed, but his uneven breathing was proof that he was still awake. One eye fluttered open when Madylin approached, “I need another drink.” Brennan frowned from afar. Jay sounded so dejected, compared to his usual attitude.
Madylin hushed him and sat cross-cross on the bed, her head in her hands.
Paris pulled into the parking garage and parked close to an exit. She grabbed the bags and got out of her car, headed towards the building.
“I want to take the edge off,” Jay mumbled, turning onto his other side and curling up. Brennan just hoped Paris would get here soon with the ginger ale.
(So I might no my be on much for a few days. I’ve got some stuff going on in life right now)

(Hello there friend I am back from the dead. School started a few weeks ago and drama central lit up again so I havrtn had much change to hope in here recently. And the homework suckkkksss)
(Hi fren! I know what you mean, I have an AP class and stayed up all night yesterday working on the homework. Take all the time you need for school and stuff, I hope it gets easier :)
(Agreed. But I’ll be on way more now. Especially since most of my teachers use computers and stuff for classes anyway. Shall we carry on?)

Paris walked in the building, grocery bags in hand and speed walking. Trying her hardest not to run anyone over, especially the little kids that sting up from no where.
Brennan focused on the ground, “Jay, you shouldn’t have ever started drinking or-“
“It’s my choice.” Jay said stiffly, and Brennan heard him roll to his other side on the bed. Brennan watched the door in the awkward silence, just praying Madylin would get here soon.
Madylin watched as Jay rolled over, an angry expression spread across his face. Brennan looked hopeless and Paris was taking for ever.
Paris got on the elevator and was on the right floor in no time. She half sprinted to the door, quickly caught her breath and knocked.
Brennan jumped up from the chair, so grateful for the door knock, and opened the door for Paris with a strained smile, “Hey.” He side stepped so Paris could come in, wondering if she come feel the awkwardness in the air.
Paris rasied an eyebrow and Brennan’s awkward hey.
“What happened?” She asked as she walked in and set all the grocery bags on the bed. She pulled a can of ginger ale out of the case and walked over to jay with it.
Hopefully it looks enough like alcohol and he’s to drunk to notice it’s not Madylin thought to herself.
Brennan opened his mouth, a lot happened, “A-“
“Nothing. Give me my alcohol, I need it,” Jay said, glaring at Paris. So he wanted to keep it a secret…? Brennan folded his arms over his chest as he watched Jay, who still wouldn’t look him in the eyes.
Paris handed Jay the can and pointed to the balcony door giving Brennan a look. She walked towards the door and crossed her arms when she arrived at said door and Brennan hadn’t moved.
Brennan stood, still watching Jay until he forced himself to turn away, and look at Paris. He walked out the door wordlessly, assuming she would follow so they could talk privately.
Paris closed the door behind her.
“what in God’s name happened while i was gone?” she said leaning on the railing of the porch.
“Paris, he kissed me. He f-cken kissed me,” Brennan said, letting his shoulders drop and rubbing a tired hand over his face, “I just-“ Brennan let out a small groan, putting his weight on the railing.
"He… did what?" she looked between the door and Brennan for a moment before continuing, "just relax. things like this happen all the time. its going to be okay" she said adn wrapped her arms around his chest, since she was a little shorter than he was.
He leaned in towards Paris, resting his forehead on hers and letting out a heavy breath, “I know I need to support him and tell him it’s alright, but I think he’s really hurt by me, and I just- It’s a lot. Too much drama.” Brennan sighed again, letting his eyes droop closed.
"He's also drunk. Wait until he's sober to feel bad and for you to think hes hurt. his mind is so warped right now and we wont get any thing from it right now" Paris said, tightening her arms around him.
“Alright,” Brennan said softly, just breathing for a few moments. He brushed a hand through Paris’s soft hair, “Can I- Could I stay at your place tonight, I don’t want to do anything untoward, just if I could sleep on the floor or something…” Brennan trailed off, opening his eyes to look up at the stars, “Just to give Jay some space.”
“of course. you don’t have to sleep on the floor. maybe we can leave Madylin here to keep an eye on him.” Paris said looking up at the stars with him. “that sounded bad. didn’t mean it like that. whatever.”
“You’re fine,” Brennan replied with a small laugh, “I know what you mean.” He hugged Paris, letting out a sigh, “We should honestly get some sleep. I’m sure we’ll have to deal with a lot tomorrow.”
"Okay." Paris said adn wriggeled out of his arms and opened the door for them to walk back inside.
