"Nhg… yeah…" he mutters, popping some tylenol in his mouth and dry swallowing. "He likes you." He points his head at his cat. "Ren normally doesn't like people."

"Funny thing, I only ever owned a couple doves once. Cats would eat doves." Marlene replied, stating the obvious. She looked at a clock. "Well, I got here late. It's almost eleven. I should sleep." She climbed into the other bed, not bothering to change clothes. "'Night."

Antoine was up early the next morning making breakfast, humming softly as he does so. He flips an egg and checks on the bacon as he does so. Ren curls around his legs, waiting for him to drop some food or to give him some tuna.

The light of morning awoke Marlene with a yawn and a stretch. She looked at the time on the wall clock: 6:00. She had time before her classes started - she took evening classes. Getting out of bed, she looked around the dorm. Antione didn't seem to be around. Good. She walked to the bathroom and slipped on her angel dress, letting her wings unfold from the slits in the dress. It felt good to finally let it out after a night of confinement.
Opening the window, she looked around the grassy stretch. No one was there. Opening it wider, she squeezed herself out the window behind her, shutting it tight.

Lol, oki//

Antoine was already out and about, watching the city. His black cloak swirls around him as his scythe glints in the sun. He chuckles darkly. "When the angel's away, the reaper shall play." he purrs, pulling his hood up.

(oooh nice.)
A feeling tugged in Marlene's chest. Someone was in need. It came from the St. Vincent women's hospital. Perking her head up and wasting no time, she was soon flying through the Indiana skies.
(It's in Indiana now)

Antoine feels a slight tug. Interesting. A Dying soul. He chuckles and leaps high into the sky, his eyes searching. He passes over a child, and comes to a hospital. Antoine scales the walls easily, making it to the room in which the dying woman lay. Ah, hospitals were his second favorite place, other than battle fields.

Marlene is already standing by the woman's bed. Ah, she's giving birth! It'd be terrible if she were to die just as she is giving life! Surrounding the poor, moaning woman with her wings, Marlene places her stomach on the woman's chest and begins to sing. Of course, the woman can't see her as herself - rather, a human-like glow.

@Vuclan-is-tired

The woman was old, holding a young childs hand. The small child was crying and sniffling. He rolls his eyes. Children. Pesky things they were. He places a hand on the womans forehead. She lived a fair and just life. "Rest." He mutters to her. The monitor goes silent.

I look up to see the grim reaper clambering in the window. I scowl at him and enfold the birthing woman with my wings. If there is any life he should not take, it is a mother and her child's.

@Vuclan-is-tired

(No, no. Different woman)

@Vuclan-is-tired

They don't realize that they're in the same place yet.//

I keep singing, willing the woman to keep fighting. Nurses rush and bustle around her with tubes and clipboards and calming voices. They don't seem to notice my light, but the woman does. She stops and focuses on me, trembling with pain. I smile, nod my head, and keep singing, willing her to birth the child safely. And after five minutes of hard will, she does. She lives. The nurses cheer, and my job is done. I walk into the hallway, searching for another tug. At a hospital there almost always is.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Antoine walks through the halls, following faint tugs. He comes upon a man, broken and bruised. A motorcycle accident apparently. He chuckles a little. Such a shame.

Marlene feels a pull leading to the Motorizes Injuries hallway, which leads her to a door. She opens it, and her eyes fly to the grim reaper, who's just putting his hand on the man's head. With a leap, she kicks him down and wraps her wings around the man.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Antoine growls, "Of course. My fun is ruined by you." He swings his scythe at her. "Dying is a natural thing! You've already brought life into the world! It's my turn to bring death." He yells, swinging again.

Marlene scowls at him, "This man isn't dying of natural causes! He can't be more than thirty years old! Let me!" She yells.

@Vuclan-is-tired

"NO! Don't you see he's suffering?!" Antoine growls. "Would you like to go through that pain?" He hisses, "People don't have to die of natural cause. So get your filthy wings off him!"

"He has so much to live for! His suffering will soon end!" Marlene hissed right back, throwing herself backwards over the man and kicking Antione back.
(just a forewarning can I win please or no)

@Vuclan-is-tired

Sure//

Antoine hisses, "But look at him! He's in so much pain! It's better to end his suffering now!" he argues, dodging her kick. He growls a little. "D*mn angels! They have no sympathy for humans, they only want them alive so they can gloat. Disgusting."

person_off

"NO SYMPATHY?? Why do you think we keep them alive? If it weren't for us, there'd be no human race!" Marlene argues, giving one last punch to his face before turning her attention to the man, holding her head in his hands. Letting the reaper hit her, she mustn't let this man die.
