Name: Arlath (No known last name – at least, not any he's ever shared)

Age: 46
Gender: male
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: He's tall, and built like a tank. He's got white hair and pale gold eyes, one of which is blinded by a long scar over it. He's got many scars, but when asked, he's casual about them, they're nothing more than marks of age and experience to him. He's got a short beard and his head's mostly shaved except for one stripe of fairly short hair down the middle. It's fairly clear his family comes from a different country, given his name, but he's lived in this country his entire life. Even though he's only in his 40's, he looked worn and older than he is.
Personality: Arlath is quiet, but friendly. He's been through a lot, and it shows, but he keeps his head up, looking forward no matter what. He's tough and a bit overprotective of his people, especially the younger ones. Between that and his natural tendency to slip into a leadership position, he can be a little overbearing sometimes, but a gentle 'back off' is all it takes for him to step back. He's kind and always on the look out for how he can help his family. Though rarely talking about himself or his past, he's honest and open with those around him, not afraid to say when a subject is making him uncomfortable. He's very loyal, and would die for any of you.
Habits: He's constantly on the lookout, but in a chill way. Just scanning rooms, periodically glancing up from what he's doing to head-count or just look around, etc. He meticulously cleans up after himself, you'll never trip over any of his stuff scattered in the living room, not that he has many things. He keeps his room empty and barren for the most part. He gets up early, like 5 am early, and goes to bed pretty early too. He stays as physically active as he can to maintain his buffness. All in all, he has a pretty healthy lifestyle.
Likes: He likes kids, and people in general. He's always down to hang out. He really enjoys reading, and writes a little in his spare time, though he never shows anyone what he's put down. He's a little protective of his works, but for the record, he writes poetry. He likes being outside, and enjoys gardening. He likes history and mythology, and is forever getting books about various cultures to study them. He's a nerd, is basically what I'm saying. He enjoys tabletop gaming as well.
Dislikes: Being alone. He can handle it, but he gravitates towards people, and gets lonely easily. He dislikes people treating each other unfairly, dislikes arguments of any sort, (has a hard time dealing with joking arguments as well), and HATES liars. If you try to manipulate him or lie to him, you will at VERY least, be getting an earful. Also cooking. He's terrible at it, and he thinks it's annoying.
Allergies: Tomatoes. He found that one out the hard way. It's fine, he thinks they're gross anyway.
Fears: That this family of his will die, and that it might be his fault.
Illnesses: Probably PTSD and/or survivors guilt. He does an okay job at coping though. He's at the point where he's starting to realize arthritis is probably a near-future thing to look forward too; his life of extreme physical stress has taken a toll.
Background: He doesn't talk about it much, but given what he has said about it, he joined the military at as early an age as he could to get out of the life his parents lived, one of extreme poverty. He spent the rest of their lives trying to support all three of them, and as such, did whatever was asked of him, regardless personal risk. After his parents died, he ended up in active duty fighting in an actual war overseas. That's about as much as he's ever really said, though he has briefly mentioned that he had a wife who he met on the field, and son. He never said what happened after that, but he's mentioned he's the 'only one left' from his squad or troop, though he's never mentioned exact details. He's been alone ever since, and it's fairly clear there was no honorable discharge involved.

Appearance: 5'8, athletic-sturdy sort of build (160lbs), b i c e p s, hispanic-african american, pear body shape, wild black hair that is either in a bun or loose afro (no in between), light brown eyes, soft facial features but a strong jawline, acne scars can almost always be found in skinny jeans, flowy tops, and various types of jackets (or her pajamas)
Personality: Nakita can come off as the "strong, silent type" to those who don't know her. However, the people who are lucky to be close to her very well know that she is has a loud personality. She is very blunt and can come off as offensive. She just c a n ' t keep her thoughts to herself, so she kinda complains about a lot and speaks her mind often. In spite of this, she can control her expressive emotions very well in formal situations. Nakita is extemly possevive of her personal items (the type of person to tear a house apart looking for a single clothing item if she believes someone stole it), and god help the poor soul who takes something of hers without asking. She values her private time because it is something she used to have very rarely. Over all, Nakita has a soft spot for the people in her life who make it worth living, and takes on the role of a loyal and compassionate big sister.
Habits: bites tongue, bites nails, messy, either sings softly under her breath or belts out a song like a pop star, no in-between, stares blankly into the abyss time to time, stays up all night and typically sleeps until 11 in the morning

Background: Anyone who has even bothered to check in with Nakita basically knows her whole life story. She grew up in a poor neighborhood with tons of siblings but with parents who had given up on life already. She practically had to raise the majority of her siblings. While she wasn't the smartest person in the world, she was on her school's dance team an ended up getting scouted as a background dancer for a handful of celebrities. She would try to send as much money as she cold back home to her siblings. She is looking to go to school for nursing, but needs to work to save up money to afford it. She refuses to talk about her parents, but often brings up stories of her siblings in casual conversations.

Appearance: Nick stands at around 5’7” and is a bit thin. His eyes are soft and grey with a tired look to them. They stand out against his sharp facial features. He has short straight hair which he dyes frequently. Currently, it's a dark blue. He also has glasses, though he is not very fond of them and only wears them while doing school work. He usually dresses casually and wears darker colors.
Personality: Nick is quiet and reserved, a little shy. He’s calm and is pretty responsible. He’s not very talkative around strangers but is more comfortable when he’s with people he knows. He doesn’t trust people that easily and it takes a while for him to open up. He’s very loyal to those close to him and is very empathetic. He’s also very hard working and can overwork himself at times.
Habits: Can’t sit still when he’s nervous. He’ll go from tapping his finger to bouncing his leg, etc. Bites his nails. Has a habit of smoking every once in a while. He doesn’t do it often and is trying to drop it. Zones out a lot.
Likes: He likes spending time alone as well as his close friends. He also enjoys reading and writing. His parents put him in piano classes at a young age and it’s one of the things he’s thankful his parents did. He has a small keyboard that he plays in his freetime.
Dislikes: Gets overwhelmed in large settings where there's a lot of people and it’s really louds. Doesn’t like talking about himself and hates nosy people. He also hates elevators and refuses to ride them even if it means having to go up several floors on the stairs.

Background: Nick comes from a very wealthy and successful family. He was pressured to be the best from a young age. However, as much he tried, he was always out shined by his younger brother. Eventually, he burned out and stopped putting in as much effort, causing his parents to become very harsh and abusive on him, worsening his mental health. He moved out as soon as he graduated high school and went to study journalism in college. He still visits them from time to time.
Family: Nick comes from an abusive home and is grateful for the family he has now. He doesn’t mention his biological family much but visits them every now and then.
