James sighed and kicked his legs up onto the desk standing just off to the right of the auditorium's stage. He had already been here for a week and he could tell that this would be a good year. There was a bunch of new freshies to 'love on' and the latest batch was looking fresh for the picking.
The sound coming from the crowd of students trying to find seating was extraordinary, and yet, somehow exhilarating. After a few minuets, the sounds evened out to a steady buzz of noise and James looked over to the stage manager who was standing off to the far right. He gave James a nod and James stood up and took a deep breath. 'It's not like he enjoyed doing this kind of stuff, he just happened to be good at it.' He thought to himself as he sauntered out onto the stage. As he centered himself in front of the audience and smiled as he was met with a cheer. He held up a hand for quiet and grinned.
"How's everybody doing today?" he began as he jumped to sit on the podium, his legs dangling off the front.
