Rose walked with Leon into the coffee shop, heading behind the counter and knocking on the door. An older woman stepped out and smiled at him. “Hi, Rose, what are you doing here? It’s your off day.”
“I know, ma’am. I was just bringing by-“ Rose paused. He had no idea how to refer to Leon. Were they just friends still? Or something else because they were soulmates. He decided to take the safe route. “-a friend. He wanted to interview for the job.”
