“CHEATER,” she yelled, urging Aster even faster, bounding forward past Xavier.
Leaning forward in to Fannar's long white fur, he let go of the gryphons straps and allowed it to go full speed ahead.
Elowan gripped the Aster’s haunches l, kicking her ever faster. “Cmon girl, lets go beat Xavier. Just beat him and I’ll get you a nice tasty treat.”
Standing up, he walked to the edge of Fannar, down below he could see Elowan, riding on full speed.
"You should be sitting down." Fannar hooted.
"Its more exciting standing up." Xavier retorted, walking back to the middle of the gryphon, "We're flying straight anyway, so its ok."
“Wait your griffin can talk!?” Elowan kept riding, pushing Aster to keep up the pace.
"Heheheheh…" He snickered evilly, "To bad yours cant."
“Aww,” Aster began panting, so Elowan let her slow to a walk. “You win this time Xavier”
"I always win." Xavier blurted, "And if I'm far to behind I just teleport to the finish line."
“Well cheaters never prosper” Elowan have a haughty sniff before breaking into laughter. “Let’s keep going. Tell me more about your talking griffin”
"Lets see, he is the son of my parents gryphons, he is the only gryphon I know that is pure white." He bit his lip, trying to find more facts about him, "And he has a very bad relationship with his brother, just like me."
“ He’s basically griffin you. He even has white hair!” Elowan snickered. She was cut off when an arrow streaked through the air, landing with a twang in the sand in front of Aster. “Looks like we’ve got company.”
"Rebels.." Xavier muttered darkly, landing besides Aster.
Elowan dismounted, sinking into a fighting stance as another arrow sailed to Aster, who dodged win a yelp. “Yeah I figured. Can you tell where they’re shooting from?”
