Sofie couldn’t help but growl. She was in a new place and this was a new smell. Clearly the same thing that happened to the silver wolf also happened to the pup and perhaps the feline as well. But who knew if the new arrival was friendly or not. Sofie’s growl only lasted a second but she turned and scanned the trees and soil behind her.

Riverpaw whimpered a little at Sofie's growling, and she got into a bit of a crouching position, in case she needed to run - from Sofie or from the feline scent, she wasn't sure. She moved closer to a tree, half-hiding under some bushes, her ears straining to hear any possible source of the smell.
