The forest never seemed so quiet than it does now, even for nighttime it just seems unnatural. Usually there's cricket, frogs, at the very least some leaves rustling in the wind, but right now there's just..nothing. Evelyn always hated when the forest went quiet like this, it just gave him a horrible feeling. Along with the fact that he seemed to be the only one awake, sitting in silence staring at the tents zipper gave him a bad feeling in his gut. Actually, he's not even sure why he woke up. It couldn't be because of any noise, because everything's so quiet. But maybe that's the reason that everything's quiet? That there was a loud noise right before he woke up? He doesn't know, but honestly he doesn't really want to know. Eventually he can't bear laying in the same spot motionless, so he sits up slowly, almost afraid to be the thing that breaks the silence. It has to be nothing though, of course it's nothing. He's so caught up in his own thoughts that he almost doesn't hear it. The zipper of his tent being messed with from the outside.

Appearance: Shaun is about 5'5, with a slim yet lightly (and I mean lightly) muscled build. His skin is a medium brown, with the odd sprinkling of freckles here and there. His face is angular, with a naturally down turned mouth and high cheekbones. His eyes are naturally slightly wide and upturned, with decently long eyelashes. His irises are a dark brown, with a few lighter areas around the rim. His hair is short and dark, cropped close to the scalp although it is starting to grow out. He has a small scar along his mouth that's barely noticeable from afar, and multiple burn scars on his hands and arms. His usual wardrobe is: a t-shirt with a denim jacket overtop, and a pair of cropped jeans along with some sturdy running shoes. He'll also be seen wearing a dull red-and-white baseball cap, which seems old and worn. While not the most practical for fighting close-range with zombies, he uses guns anyways and his outfit is specifically made to make it easier for him to run. He has a few layers of gauze wrapped around his lower calf and closer to his knee, only a few simple injuries from knocking into things while running/other miscellaneous reasons.
Personality: Shaun is typically a very upbeat guy, a contrast to his frowny default expression. He's very loyal to the people he loves, almost to a fault. He's always been deeply interested in creating things, although those things typically stray towards weapons and destructive devices. With that in mind he can be very energetic and violent if he gets excited enough, making him somewhat of a harm to the people around him if they're too close to whatever he's working on. Like everyone though, he has some bad qualities. He's prone to lying and sneaking around if he thinks it'll get him out of big trouble, and he's very defensive and not afraid to hurt anyone he doesn't know and views as a threat. He doesn't have alot to lose given the apocalypse happening and all that pizzazz, and can be impulsive. If anyone tries to pry on things like where he's from or where his family is he'll immediately shut them down, he only talks about his personal problems to the people he really trusts. So basically he's a hyper, destructive, sneaky, upset weasel with trust issues.
Backstory: Basically the dudes parents couldn't handle him so he was given up and put into the foster system, never staying in one place for long due to his destructive nature. At 18 he managed to move to the city and get a job, and all was well for 3 years before the zombie apocalypse hit. Now he's usually sneaking and rummaging around for parts to build weapons, while simultaneously guarding his little apartment and all the useful stuff inside. (Guns, water bottles, canned food, clothing, ect).
Extra: he has a pet tabby cat named Fish, she's his light and joy and he will kill for her.

Backstory: (also optional) Ezra is from a family of eight people. His mother is asian and his father is American, making him asian american. He had four half siblings, two from his mom's side, two from his dads and a golden lab named Doodle that he saved from home after going to visit after the start of the apocalypse and discovering all of his family were zombie's. He was forced to kill them all and he took Doodle and now keeps her with him all the time (who wouldn't???) and now he's just searching for survivors. He's been working on training Doodle to be quiet, which has worked very well surprisingly. She no longer barks at the zombie's, but sneaks past them.
