You're so Golden // Group RP (5/5)

Rosemary flushed at the attention, her eyes focusing on the very pink man in front of her. "I- um, it's really no trouble, just old and heavy. Besides, you look like you have enough to carry on your own," She pointed out softly, her eyes bouncing between all of his luggage before she looked at his face. She remembered to pull up a small smile of her own at the sight of his full smile of teeth. He seemed like an alright kind of guy, actually a bit more than alright, and that was quite comforting to begin with.

Elodie watched the exchange of words, leaning back against her car. It felt like she was watching from far away, as if a spectator. She inhaled slowly, to make sure no one else heard her intake of breath and then exhaled just as slowly, not wanting to draw attention to herself.

I wonder if this is going to be the time of my life? she wondered the poster said it would.

Alex stood awkwardly to the side, trying to force down the wave of doubt and anxiety that threatened to flood him. Even though these were the people he'd be spending time with while in France, he still felt like an outsider. He ran his hand through his untamable red-brown hair and adjusted his glasses, not sure what else to say or do.

Alex blinked in surprise before giving Camie a small and friendly grin. "Alex," he said, adjusting his duffle bag so it'd stop making his arm numb.
"So, uh, are you excited about going to France?" he asked, not necessarily knowing how else to continue the conversation.

Alex nodded, completely understanding what Camie was talking about. "Yeah, I get it. I honestly wouldn't have signed up for the buddy program if my siblings hadn't convinced me that they'd be fine if I left the country for a bit."

Elora sighed into the air and leaned her chin upward, looking up at the sky.
She wondered if France was truly going to be as fun as the poster and email said it would.
The time of my life she thought.

Rosemary quietly listened to the others, not sure if she wanted to contribute to the conversation or continue to stay silent. After a moment of internal debate, she opted for the second option. She was an only child, and her father could most definitely take care of himself, so she didn't share that barrier between her and this France trip. The cost, on the other hand, wasn't exactly guilt free. She didn't know how her father managed to gather up enough to pay for it, he already worked as much as he could just to get by. One day, once Rosemary moved out and got a job of her own, she would pay him back for her college and this trip.

Elora decided to stay silent as well.
He mam was fine, able to take care of herself, she had been since Elora moved out to go to college, she had a steady job, there was nothing to worry about in terms of family, since her mam was the only one alive.

So therefore, she has no reason to force herself into the conversation she had nothing to contribute to. So she leaned her head back and closed her eyes, letting the sunshine touch her skin softly, warming her up.

Alex nodded at Camie before glancing around at the rest of the group.
"Do you know who those two are?" he asked curiously, gesturing to Elora and Rosemary. He didn't really want to stop talking to the first friendly person he's encountered in a while, but he felt intrigued and eager to meet the other people in the group.

Hearing the question, Rosemary straightened her back and turned toward the other two. "I'm Rosemary. What's your name?" She asked as she ran her hand over her braided hair. The two seemed nice enough, and she would be the first to admit it was nicer to talk to people her age rather than crusty old smelly fisherman on the docks. College was nice yes, but she wasn't the best at making friends because she commuted, and the fisherman tended to talk for hours on hours anyways. Rosemary never knew the quickest way to exit a conversation, so she ended up getting stuck listening.

(ope wait I totally did not realize who Alex was talking too, whoops I'm just a little blind)

(I've been so busy I didn't truly realise that school ends in two days for me, so more than likely my parents are going to lock my computer in their room the whole summer. I'm sorry I didn't mention it before, I've just been really distracted. We can either stop this roleplay or you guys could make a groupchat and continue it without me, and we could pick it back up when I get back from summer break. Or we could just stop it?)
