what kind of Sci-Fi is your fave?

I've kinda broken the genre of science fiction into four sub-genres:
1) Dystopia/Utopia: Post-apocalypse, cities destroyed, chaos, panic, maybe extreme weather?
2) Space Future: Star wars/star trek, just about everything is colonized, lasers and teleporting pods and whatnot.
3) Near Future: City noir, mafia, coming close to #4, robot takeovers?
4) Just a Century or Two in the Future: Somewhere in between #2 and #3, space travel, maybe holograms, currently believable technology.

Which is your favorite to read?

Definitely space future. I'm a sucker for a good exodus across the stars.

Space future or near future are both fun to read

I'm into all of them personally, but #1 and #4 are my favorite!
