So, I've been procrastinating on writing this story for almost a year but I've started to write again and noticed the cover I made was pretty bland.

The only thing is that the glitch has nothing to do with computers but more like memory.

Personally, I think it's really alluring on its own. The black goes very well with the glitched out text, if I saw a book like that in a bookstore, I would definitely pick it up. But since you said it has to do with memory, I suggest as someone studying psychology, maybe change the text to a blue and more thread-like font. Perhaps even with hints of red or yellow. If you look up "neuropsychology" and go to images you'll see what I mean.
The reason why I bring up neuropsychology; multiple neurotransmitters (Including but not limited to Serotonin and Acetylcholine), chemicals used to transmit signals from one cell to another, are extremely essential to memory.
This went off topic very quickly, but if you want a more psychological feel, I suggest wispy blue font with optional hints of red or yellow.
