The Site’s new layout and set up is causing strange behavior with voiceover

i’d say your best option would be to get someone to be an accessibility beta tester before you roll out these changes because someone else might not be as fortunate as I am to know advanced voiceover commands and stuff

Thanks for the heads up and tips. I'll take a look at iOS/macOS and voiceover in general and see what I can do about getting someone to test accessibility from now on. Sorry about the oddities; I hope to get things sorted out soon.

to be honest, you don’t really have to know advanced voiceover commands and stuff to be able to navigate this new layout ; it’s just easier that way; but it shouldn’t have to be that way

you also need to make sure that links are labeled clearly; for example, when I have unread replies to forum posts that I’ve posted to a.k.a. notifications, all voiceover says is a number……… i’ve been on this site long enough to know what those numbers mean but someone who is new and also a screen reader user might not be so lucky

A lot of the new stuff I can’t access because voice over doesn’t recognize it as an actionable item
