How do you add an additional field in a custom category?

in which category? universes, characters, locations, or items?

It should be the same in all categories. When you've saved your universe/character/location or item, you'll see a button on the side in green called "+Add Custom Category". Click it, and you have the option to create a custom category and a custom field in that category. Write in their titles, then click "Create Field" and you'll be able to fill in that information for your universe/character/location or item. Here's a screenshot:

Just put the name of the already created catagory in the "New Catagory" spot

Hi, sorry to bother, but is there anyway to edit the custom fields at all?

@Rhyanna - This is not possible at the moment but andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) has mentioned here that he plans to add the ability to edit fields in the future.
