For the past few weeks now I've had an annoying ghost notification
It doesn't show up as an actual notification for any threads, just a constant 1 on the sidebar, so I can't really do anything to get rid of it
It's not a big issue, I just thought I'd mention it

Same here. I've been having two notifications, even after clearing all my unread.

None of them, it's just on the side bar permanently.

I'm pretty sure it's spam posts I've flagged/hidden still. I have a decay system in place that keeps spam posts around (but just hidden) for usually ~24 hours before fully deleting them, so there might be some ghost notifications for some people during that interim state. I'll get that sped up to clean them up faster in tonight's release though.

Hey, @andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer), just thought I’d let you know the bug has come back. It came back a couple days ago, but fixed itself. I don’t know if it will that again or not, so I thought I’d just give you a heads up. No rush to fix it by any means.
It should sort itself out shortly. The ghost notifications are for unread spam posts that get deleted every night (instead of immediately), so until they get deleted you might see an unread notification or two for those posts (even if you can't see the spam posts themselves).
We've been hit pretty hard with spam this week (around ~400 posts, but most by shadowbanned bots or auto-flagged) so the bug has probably surfaced a bit more often this week, but luckily it's a self-correcting one. :)
