I can't upload a profile picture. When I press 'save changes' it brings up an error page. I tried on multiple accounts to change the profile picture but it refuses to work. Any suggestions/help?

Wish I'd known before I tried to change my profile picture, now I have no profile picture and can't go back.
I just spent all day rendering the picture I wanted for my profile picture in Daz3d like I do for all my other world building assets… not relevant, but I was looking forwarding to using it.
Unfortunately, I don't have an exact ETA, but I do have a release I'm prepping for tomorrow that I hope will fix it.
Behind-the-scenes, what basically happened is that I'm in the middle of upgrading the core web framework behind the site (to get security fixes, speed optimizations, etc), but the forum library we use isn't compatible with the new software versions yet. I tried to fix it myself, but it's a pretty sizable project (they have several people that know their code way better than me working on it!) but the approach I'm taking now is to just roll back whatever upgrades I can on my side to get compatibility back without compromising on the security updates. Eventually they'll finish upgrading their library and all will be well again, but I'm hoping to at least get something that works in the meantime!
Sorry about the inconvenience; hopefully I can get things working by tomorrow's release though!

I'll take a look at your github page, I don't use github, so it be a new account, I use gitlab under a different alias.
However I am Programmer and sysadmin with 20 years of experience, I'm a designer / writer on the side.
Doing the book and Visual novel is my passion project. So it sounds like you need a hand, I'll see if I can assist.

Things are a bit slower for me right now largely because I'm working from an old laptop (from 2009!) while mine is in for repairs, but help is always appreciated! Incorporating everyone's experience and expertise is largely why I decided to make Notebook.ai open source in the first place. Now that I properly understand what happened in this case, there's also a short post-mortem on this PR.
Thank you for your patience while I sorted out this problem. I'm hoping to have my laptop back this week or next and be back to a regular update cadence soon! :)

I feel your pain on using an old laptop, can only recommend Ubuntu or similar, I appreciate the post-mortem link.
I'll leave my own feedback on github, I use the same name, It might take me a few days though.
