I'm Finding It Difficult to Make Private Chats

Whenever I go to make a private chat, and I type the person's name into the box, it doesn't show up with the person I want.

Ever.

I was wondering if it was just my internett… or it's the site. Or if people have had this problem before.

Anyway, I'd like to know what's wrong so I or someone else can fix it.

Thank you…

Hey guys!

So just gonna ask a few questions for you

Do you put an @ in front of the name?

Does that person have a username? (if they do it should have the @ in front of it)

have you tried not putting this: @ before their names

So, a few hints:

  1. The person you're trying to add to the private chat needs to have a username (If their name in a public chat has an @ in front of it, all good, they have a username. Use that.)
  2. You have to type their username into the Participants field without the @ symbol
  3. If the username has SPACES (or hyphens, or underscores) in it, try enclosing their username in quotation marks –> " " like those.

So, if I was to message you, @"Suga Lover ~Insta-Smile~", I would need to start typing

"Suga Lover

etc.

If none of these work something else probably needs fixing.
