Is there any limit on how many pages you can make in one category?

Is there any limit on how many pages you can make in one category? Because I’ve made up to 152 characters and am planing on making many more and just want to know if too many pages will cause any problems like lag or crashing?

There's no real limit, but I've had some users in the past (with 300+ characters) say that some pages get a bit slower. I have a script I run that populates my test databases with 500+ of every page type for testing, so I try to make sure the site works just as well for everyone, no matter how many pages they add. :)
