A good friend tried to get me to join this site, but I never decided to until Storywars went to subscription only. Could someone explain how to use this site? as I am completely lost about everything on here.

Ah, well, not really. I can't say I'm too good at giving writing tips as much as I am editing. But maybe you could head over to the Characters section, or the General Writing or even the Sharing & Critiques sections for some help. And perhaps, I could critique a character you have started, if you do, but there are also many people willing to do that in the Critiques and Characters section. And really my specialty is poetry.
