Strange formatting?

I tried to post on a page with a lot of very long comments (it's a writing prompt thing), and rather than lay the text out as regular paragraphs, it puts each paragraph as one line and makes a horizontally-scrolling text box. What's up with that?

I have heard that copying and pasting text from a document where text is indented can cause that issue. Was your text indented?

Yeah, it was. But then I tried to paste as plain text and it did the same thing! I'll just not indent and see what happens.
