Yep. Pan-Ace means you want a partner, you don’t care about their gender identity and you’re not interested in sex.

What is the difference between agender, nonbinary, and genderqueer? Is there a difference?

Hey sorry I didn’t see this.
Agender people do not identify with male or female, and usually use they/them pronouns. Non-binary is essentially the same, and genderqueer is more of an umbrella term for all genders that aren’t cis male or cis female.

Non-binary is actually a bit different from Agender. A non-binary person is anyone who doesn't fully identify as male or female–This could include non-binary trans masculine people, non-binary woman alligned, or any gender that isn't man or woman.
So agender people fall under the umbrella of non-binary.
(I'm non-binary)

Anyone have any tips for writing a character that is aro but not ace? I have two major characters who are aro-pan and aro-bi, but as someone who's not aro and is ace, I'm not sure how to write them. I don't want them to seem 'shallow' or fall into the heartless aro trope.

PLATONIC👏🏻LOVE👏🏻COUNTS👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

i literally CANNOT stress this enough! cavetown, a singer-songwriter, actually covered this in a qna once. i can't find the video but the basic jist was "being aro doesn't mean your loveless. the energy and love that would be channeled into a romantic relationship cam be channeled into platonic love. i know that's what i do. my love for my friends is so stong and valid."

Okay, so I have a Panromantic Asexual character who falls in love with a Aromantic character. Any advice on how to write this?

PLATONIC LOVE COUNTS!
you could have them be the best friends on the entire planet and it would still be valid and could also convey their status

Okay, thank you! They're going to be friends, (Asexual Panromantic will be sad they can't date, but be understanding) and I'll do my best to represent the Platonic Love between them!
