you could Identify parties if there are many cars in a driveway. - Buy a gift.
this gift just needs something and to be wrapped. (if you are sure it isn't a birthday party skip this step) - Generic names
there are many generic names out there pick one (Ex, John and Mary) call people these names and see if it is correct. Don't directly call someone out though just yell something like, "Hey, John." - Blend in
Don't seem like a stranger. Talk to others, pretend to know someone. Don't stand out. Don't make it look like you are crashing.
But if it's a party, how would the people not know everyone there? If it were a college party, I could see that working, but other school gatherings and such wouldn't be a good idea because everyone knows who's supposed to be there?
