I’m too broke for consoles and stuff so nearly all the video games I waste my time on are just free apps I downloaded on my phone at 3AM

Well, uhh… I’m getting bored of some of them and I figured it might be a good idea to make a thread for mobile games so I and other broke gamers can find some new ones-!

My personal favorites are probably Sky: Children of the Light and VOEZ, they’re both free games that are a lot of fun, beautifully designed, and aren’t littered with too many ads or in app purchases.

Sky is a massive open-world multiplayer game where you roam the skies of 7 different kingdoms, collecting lights, making friends, and rescuing lost spirits.
It’s really really pretty and I love it a lot~

And VOEZ is just a fun little music game with like a thousand or something Jpop, instrumental, EDM, etc songs so it’s no surprise I of all people like it
Some of the songs are actually really good okay

(…I know I sound like a walking advertisement but I really do like these games, especially Sky, please join Sky I need friends-)

Why is Fire Emblem Heroes good?

In all honesty, "good" is all based on the preferences and opinions of the person who looks at it. Some people may say that they hate mobile apps or Fire Emblem in general, making it, to them, a bad game. Others may say that they love it because it is their childhood, or because it has all of their favourite Fire Emblem characters in one place, making it a quote "good game". Values and ideals are all that make up good and bad, nothing else really. People see whatever makes them happy or useful to them as "good" and what is not as bad. So there is no real way for something to be good or bad, it's all opinions.

Personally, I think that Fire Emblem Heroes is a good game, because I, personally, am a fan of the Fire Emblem franchise and I find it to be a fun take on a game that would originally only be on consoles. Anyone gets to take it anywhere and play it when they please (within reason, of course). One still gets the turn-based battle that they love in Fire Emblem, but now it's just easier to take with them and has all of the characters they love. The character designs aren't what could be called poorly done, in fact, the art seems to have been taken a lot of time on and considered. There is still a storyline as there would be in a regular Fire Emblem game, so it's not just another pointless mobile app that you eventually get bored of (i.e Geometry Dash).

I will conclude this semi-disquisition, seeing that I believe that I have gone on long enough. To summarize my thoughts, good and bad is all determined by the tastes of individuals and is not just something that can be determined by mere definition of the word. Humans are fickle creatures and like to spin things to make sense or sound right to them, meaning that Fire Emblem Heroes cannot be a good game in general, but only a good game in the eyes of those who decided it is.

I like fire emblem hero’s, my main problem would be that they nerfed tomes so hard. I also get a bunch of characters I’m not that familiar with, I did only play some of the games in the franchise, that being awakening, shadow dragon and fates conquest. The game is fun though, I find it enjoyable, and I use my brain a lot for it. Fire a Emblem Hero’s introduced me to a bunch of characters I love, and even inspired me to get Conquest (well it was a gift) and soon I’ll get Birthright and the final act. I am also getting other games in the series, like the other 3DS game, the one for GameCube, and in the future Fire Emblem Three Houses.

The World Ends With You. Its paid, but it deserves every penny. It is an HD port of a Nintendo DS game, and BOY, they did a really great job with it. All the graphics were redrawn, it looks gorgeous. And it is perfect for touch screen. Give it a try!

So, uh… about that Monster Hunter game. Yeah, it's shit. One guy in Japan reviewed it, and despite being super hype about it, he says that the design is clunky and overly-predatory gacha shit, which is a shame because I was excited over the character designs. Apparently, the rest of us not in Japan aren't missing out on anything.

was it Adam Evanko (aka Gaijin Hunter?) I follow him in twitter. Yeah, it was almost heart breaking at how his hype went from 1000 to -1000 in 8 hours.

I found a decent game called Random Dice the other day. It's a tower defense game, but you compete with other people by merging dice by their type and dot count until one of you falls. They've even got a co-op mode (though it's five uses unless you pay before you need to watch ads to get another go), and the dice variety overall makes for a really fun game! You get different dice with different abilities and build a "deck" of sorts to see who can survive the longest.
