@ElderGod-Carrots

I rolled my eyes for the hundredth time. “Come one lets go find him”

"All right. Hey, here's some tracks." He bent down and examined the ground. "Not sure if they belong to him, but it's better then nothing."

@ElderGod-Carrots

I followed Crash as he set off following the tracks hoping and praying they would led us to Nathan.

He followed them for quite a while, weaving through the bushes and gradually ascending the slope. Finally around mid-morning, he stops. "Whoops, I lost them. Lost the scent, too, that's weird. He must have disappeared or something."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“God damn it!” I cried “WHERE ON GODS GREEN EARTH COULD THIS BOY BE!!!!!” I screamed. I threw my hands out forward and it hit a tree and made burn marks on it and collapsed. “He said he would be there. he said i had control of my magic but I dont. I knew he though i was a danger. I.. I” I hung my head. “I’m a monster” I whispered

Crash looked alarmed. "Hey…uh….don't be sad. It's okay. He doesn't think you're a monster, I know it." He crouched down next to you, looking a bit lost. "Maybe we should give up looking for him for now and find you some food. I'll bet you're hungry…."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“You go Crash, I know you’re not used to this.” I said “I’ll meet you at the house” I stayed collapsed on the ground

He shifted into a dingo and paced in agitation for a minute. Then he shifted back and sighed. "Okay, wait here. I'm going to find you some food." He left, muttering something about berries.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“why am I like this” I muttered “why can’t I have normal magic, why darkness, why?” I sobbed

Just then there came the sound of a voice. It wasn't Crash. "Maddie?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

I looked up but not behind me where the voice was coming from.

A figure came into view beside you. To your surprise, you see that it's Luke, from the night before. "Maddie, it is you! Are you okay? What are you doing here?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Luke. Wha… what are you doing here?” I said still not looking at him.

"Not sure, really. I think I'm lost, I had no idea there was a forest here." (I have to leave for supper in a second, sorry.)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(That’s ok)

“Oh, ok.”

(brb, back in an hour-ish! ^^)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Okie see you then)

(I'm back) "What about you? Are you sure you're ok?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“I.. I’m fine. Me and a friend were looking for someone but we cant find him” I said trying not to look at him.

"Oh." He frowns. "Clearly this is the forest of lost souls. And where's your friend now?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“He went to get something to eat. We lost Nathan’s- the guy we are looking for- tracks” I sobbed again “He said he would meet me back at the house but he didn’t. I knew i was a danger to him and he knew it too.” I looked at my hands.

"Hey, hey, calm down," Luke said soothingly. "No sense worrying about that right now. Did you sleep at all last night? You must be exhausted."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“No.. I… I didn’t, Crash and I were swimming untill l..late then we were worrying about Nathan”

"Hmm. Why don't you take a quick nap then? I'll keep watch until your friend gets back." Luke sat down against a tree and smiled at you reassuringly. "You'll feel better when you wake up."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“O.. ok” I sat back next to Luke and fell asleep pretty quickly. My head dropped onto his shoulder and I kinda felt safe. I felt like i did when i was swimming in the lake.

You slept for maybe a half hour. Then you were woken by voices. Opening your eyes, you saw that Crash had returned and was now eying Luke warily, holding an uprooted berry bush in one hand.
"Easy, buddy," Luke was saying quietly. "I'm not gonna hurt her."
Crash growled. "I don't know that."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Wha.. What’s going on?” I asked still half asleep.

Crash glared at Luke. "I dunno. I brought you some food. Who's this?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Thanks Crash. This is Luke we met a couple of days ago.” i didnt realise how tired I was until now. I kept my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes again.

"Let her sleep, man," Luke said. "It's fine."
Crash dropped the berries and folded his arms. "You would say that, she's leaning on your shoulder."
"Wrong. I'm worried about her, and I see you are too. So chill and sit down. It won't kill you."
Crash grumbled, but sat. They let you sleep for as long as you wanted after that.
