I wrote a very short poem, and thought, hey, I wonder how long this could get if people collaborate on it. Let's see just how long we can get this. I just ask one thing; keep it tied to the theme of death, and have the words ‘midnight moon’ repeated with words that rhyme.
People in a room,
All of them sealed to their doom.
They will die soon,
But not before the midnight moon.

Nope, just have the words 'midnight moon' repeated with words that rhyme. Though, it would probably be nice to have something similar to the start of the poem, and to have 'midnight moon' in the last line…. Ultimately it's up to you though!
A dark grey cloud, bringing gloom
Underneath, the midnight moon
He grins at me, and whispers "soon"
I'm glassy eyed, in my room

(I am loving this! The thing here is that I don't even really write poetry, I mostly write stories, but I do appreciate poetry! My sister used to read me the poems that she'd write.)

Soft footsteps towards where she's laid

Others watching quietly
They know their death is coming soon
As, lying on her bed, she sees
The tranquil face of the midnight moon

A haunting, eerie, hollow tune
