Buff - exercise has always been a thing to keep him focused and even though he doesn't do sports anymore, his build still says "I used to play football in high school". It doesn't help that he's a werewolf now and the beast bulks him up pretty easy.

Galen doesn't really care. He'll swing between a short cut and letting it grow long and shaggy depending on his mood or how someone else wants him to keep it.

Galen doesn't care what his outfits look like, but he does care about looking good in them - which basically means he'll rock literally anything he is comfortable enough to wear, and he's comfortable enough to wear most things.

A deep scar that starts at the crook of his neck on his right side, and curves across his back down to the left side of his waist. The remnants of the werebeast attack that led to his turning. He's lucky that the other slash marks from the rest of the paw healed over well and are mostly invisible unless up close.

Galen has a baby face and makes a conscious effort to look older. This is helped by his beast and his general physique. He hasn't yet tried to go 'full beard' mode because he's worried it'll grow in patchy, although it'd probably make him look much older by that alone.

Galen comes from a rich family in San Diego; his father is a high-profile attorney and his mother is a campaign manager for local government offices. His parents had him young, so he is much older than his younger siblings, a sister who is 12 and twins who are 8.

Galen has had a strained relationship with his parents for most of his life. As the oldest and an 'oopsie' child, his early years his parents were hardly around because they were busy building their careers, and then as he got older and they had more children, they were busy and with their attention split between their 4 children. He acted out a lot, just to get their attention, and the clout of being their son got him out of trouble most of the time.

Their relationship strained to the point of snapping when they threatened to cut him off for his reckless behavior, and after he was turned and Galen realized they were right, he was too ashamed to face them and ran off, allowing them to believe he was dead. They repaired their connection after awhile, accepting him as a werewolf, but refusing to accept his marriage to Kaelene. They mean well and want the best for him, he knows, but he can't stand how they see his relationship and went low-contact after his father threatened to find some way to annul the marriage.

He went back to his parents after Kaelene's murder, only for their relationship to grow more strained until he finally moved back out again and declared he no longer wanted their help. They have left the door open for him to come back once he's "come to his senses" but if he ever goes back, he'll likely remain low contact.

Galen does have a great relationship with his younger siblings however, and dotes on them endlessly when he can.

• barely knows how to function as a person considering he's had a silver spoon in his mouth his whole life. is really earnest about learning and Really Tries but it's not a good time overall for anyone. Giant werewolf puppy with no impulse control and fairly clumsy


• turns 18. Is finally under control enough to be able to start re entering society, enrolls in classes to get his GED


• Valentine's Day happens. Meets Kaelene. Head over heels for Kaelene. Marries Kaelene!!


• Love potion wears off. ｏｈ ｇｏｄ ｗｈａｔ ｄｉｄ ｗｅ ｄｏ


• Kaelene manages to calm him down. WOW. Says they shouldn't call it quits so fast. Try dating. cool. doesn't really know how to Do That but totally down to try


• Dating goes great!! Kaelene is Magic.


• However, problems arise. Becomes evident quickly that he is tol himbo. is also barely 18. Kaelene isn't as young as he thinks. surprised pikachu faces.


• BR gets destroyed, moves in with Kae in Kiri. still plugging away at his GED. married life is Great. Tries his best to be a good House Husband since Kaelene is supporting him solo while he's trying to figure his life out.


• reconnects with family and friends once works out a plan to explain the whole werewolf thing to his parents. New problem: no one likes Kaelene. she's too old for him, he's being 'groomed', he's WAY too young to be married. Can't seem to get it through to anyone how that's NOT the case


• Kaelene isn't fairing much better. The more upsetti spaghetti fans can be very vocal of their dislike of him


• doesn't really matter, though. he IS an adult and can make his own choices, plus Kae's closest friends understand and are cool with it. he can make new friends, whether he decides to jump straight into working (he's pretty interested in Nightfall, they're bound to have a spot for him) or going for a degree in something


• Spends the morning with Kaelene. Late that afternoon, the KPD are at their door. His wife has been murdered. He is distraught and traumatized. The police aren't gentle with him at first, until he is 100% cleared of all suspicion. Becomes a widower before he's even old enough to drink.


• Only a few months out and what remains of Kaelene's friend group has also shattered. He has nothing and no one left in Kiri. His parents offer to take him back in back home, until he can get on his feet, and so he goes. Mistake Made. Neither family nor prior friend group see any point to his grieving. They say awful things like "it's better this way" and "now you're free to live your life".


• Breaking point comes when someone makes a gross comment to his face about his late wife being a cradle robber and some other, worse implications, and he loses control and becomes violent. Beats the ever loving shit out of them, nearly kills them, is nearly arrested.


• Parents manage to smooth things over with copious amounts of money, but he can't stand it anymore and just needs to Get Away somewhere, like he did when he was turned. Hops on another Greyhound bus and follows the bus line until it dead ends in Alaska.


• Discovers there is a Nightfall branch in Snow Haven and opts to spend some time there because Nightfall is familiar and Snow Haven seems cool enough.

Werebeast (Wolf)

Galen had zero knowledge of the supernatural underground prior to his turning. He still has problems remembering what species or what, outside of Phoenix, since that's what his wife is.

Galen is a turned Werebeast who is still very much a giant oversized puppy with very little impulse control.

His late wife is the only person who has ever been able to fully calm his beast when Galen gets overwhelmed.
