Astrid thinks through things very logically. Although she is artistically talented, she is more methodical than creative. Because of her logical disposition, she's a decent realist and can usually stay calm, even in intense situations. Despite her confrontational style, she is very generous and kind. She gives of herself with smiles and kind words, and will gladly help with service. She is empathetic and can generally tell if someone is feeling down, but she prefers if someone approaches her for help than the other way around.

Astrid was adopted at 4 years old into an affluent middle-class family. She has never pursued her past--she fears it. She was very bright and graduated high school very early. She loves her parents, but they've been more guardians than a friend. She grew to love the Glenwoods, and they became her second parents. They have kept her out of too much trouble as she has grown.

Astrid was subject to cyborg experiments as a child. Her adoptive parents are in on it, her Aunt Tenzi is head of the operation. She is unaware of her cyborg abilities--she has no memory of any visits made to update software and make adjustments, and any signs of an anomaly have been covered with synthetics. Tenzi's team is awaiting the time to initiate her software.

Her cyborg implantations cause her pain sometimes, but can usually stretch to alleviate what she thinks are the muscles sometimes. Of course, she is taken in to the facility at night when her memory can be wiped to adjust her hardware.
