Carl has a very square-looking silhouette: six and a half feet of firm lines and sharp angles, with muscles built up from hobbyistic workouts. He has broad shoulders and a firm, masculine jaw. Small brown eyes offset a large rectangular nose and a wide mouth, all helping to give him quite the intimidation factor. The only thing that disrupts his threatening appearance – quite efficiently at that – is his hair: a golden blond afro. Every hair is always kept perfectly in place, and if you happen to muss it up even the slightest bit, Creator help you.

Heterosexual

To someone he doesn't know very well, Carl is cold and forceful, always making sure his voice is heard. Even if you ignore or disobey him, he'll do whatever it takes to ensure his requests are heeded. Among friends and family, Carl warms up readily. He shows a more quiet, subdued side of himself, one that cares deeply for his loved ones and puts the needs of others before his own whenever possible. Feeling useful is important to him; he always makes sure he has a job to do or a goal to move towards. Having a lot on his plate is rarely a problem.

Oversized sledgehammer

Carl does not usually attack unless directly provoked, but when he does decide to fight back, he is able to wield his heavy hammer effortlessly. Though his strikes are slow, even a single hit could prove deadly. He does not use his Time Magic in serious one-on-one combat as a matter of principle, only employing it as a warning or to keep an attacker from reaching something or someone he has been told to guard.

Bodyguard

Carl already had a decent grip on his Time Magic when he was adopted by Alex Relson. All through his life, he's used it to make juggling his multiple hobbies much easier, but it's slowly caught up with him.

Carl's heavy use of his magic has caused him to experience approximately 20 extra years, cumulatively. His age is only an estimate, calculated by regularly comparing the watch on his person with the clock in his room, and he often struggles with whether to keep using his magic, limit himself, or go cold turkey. In the end, he usually decides he'd rather live each moment to the fullest, which means cramming as many "moments" in as he can. He is even attempting to build a Magitech time machine.
