Simple, comfortable, worn-down

Squall's light brown fur is broken up by two white patches: a large one on his stomach, and a smaller one on the front of his neck. He keeps it all trimmed extra short for swiftness and easier maintenance, but his large bushy tail is a point of pride and is never cut, only brushed. He has a lithe, flexible build that's more fitting for a felin than the average squirrel rodin like himself, but it lets him perform all sorts of aerial maneuvers with ease. His small snout and short front teeth also make him stick out among his peers, even to a human's untrained eye.

When in his Release Form, Squall's snout turns vulpine and he sprouts an extra eight tails that wave around behind him. His normally-brown fur takes on a golden sheen, emitting a permanent cloudy light as excess energy escapes all over his body. This light is especially focused at the tips of his tails and at his narrowed eyes; both change color to match the elemental energy he is currently using to attack.

Squall lives his life without a care in the world. He makes a point of distancing himself from anything that might be problematic down the road, leaving him with only a few truer-than-true friends and no responsibilities, ever. Though he has a strong sense of justice and will never forgive anyone who hurts him or his loved ones, he would rather have someone else chase down the villains than do it himself. However, if you can get him to promise you anything – certainly a challenge on its own – he'll do whatever it takes to follow through.

Squall takes great joy in staying just out of reach, never letting up in an onslaught of magical attack. If you get close enough to him for a regular short-range attack, he's doing something wrong. He rarely tries to deal any serious damage, however, more intent on simply driving his attacker away.
