Kiara Galvani was the daughter of a goldsmith and a tailor and the older sister to two brothers born and raised in Naples, Florida. Her father, expecting a boy, taught her how to shoot, hunt, and tolerate pain. When she was 14, her neighborhood became infested with criminals. These criminals had shown up due to a desire to expand his territory. Kiara had to witness many horrible events at the hands of these criminals including: a man getting half his face burned, a public execution by crystal impalement, and she was assaulted by a man who could absorb energy. To combat this, her father organized a neighborhood watch. Kiara herself made the decision to help by acting as a scout and collecting information. She did this by creating animals out of bioelectricity. Thanks to her gathering of information, the neighborhood watch was able to get the small gang arrested. Afterwards, Kiara's family made the decision to move to Boca Raton. Despite only being present for one year, the gang's actions had a huge effect on Kiara. Rather than be scared by danger, she was intoxicated by it and wanted to learn how to take photos so she could immortalize her memories. However, photography proved to be difficult for her to learn. She eventually got a hold of it and joined the yearbook team in senior year. Because of her time in yearbook, she decided to become a photojournalist after high school. Before she could do that, she took self-defense classes in case she wound up in very dangerous situations. During her career, she would pursue dangerous stories at the risk of her own life and would have long, revealing interviews with many dangerous men. When she was 21, she made a dragonfly go inside a criminal base to investigate. However, she was spotted by the criminals who owned the base and they proceeded to shoot her three times. Unwilling to die, she made the dragonfly come back and it bit their necks. She got out her phone and made a call to the hospital for her life to be saved. After the altercation, Kiara was let go due to her constant reckless adventures. Still seeking danger, she joined the Convocation because they were usually the main subjects of her stories.
