Gavin is a vlogger and social media influencer - who is still trying to make it and is only somewhat locally famous. In order to keep himself afloat, he also does copious amount of gig work and part time or seasonal jobs as they come through. But his real passion is in his creativity as a vlogger, coming up with ideas to make new content, filming for TikTok and YouTube, and all that. He will inevitably quit his other work to focus on that more, until financial need drives him back to working "real" jobs.

Gavin's had more success in his social media since he adopted Kenneth, the Somali mixed breed cat, and started incorporating him into his social media as well as making Kenneth a social media star in his own right.

Despite his struggles and successes, Gavin is an incredibly dedicated and hard worker and focused on making his dreams a reality, as hard as they may be to achieve.

Gavin is in decently good shape only because he is always on his feet and on the move from his various gig jobs. Biking around, hauling and carrying, grocery trips, criss crossing the city from one end to the other. It forces him to build muscles. The thought of a gym with the amount of manual labor he does makes him cry.

Generally always a little mussed, curls if he lets it get too long, which he normally doesn't. Facial hair stays trimmed and well groomed, but he's never attempted more than the scruff he's currently got.

Gavin is a fan of simple out of necessity - same 6 shirts, same 6 pants or jeans, on rotation, with maybe some thrifted stuff to throw on top if he needs to dress up or dress down. But the man is simply too into everything else to worry about his wardrobe, and at this point the fact that he's got the same exact outfits over and over, with the occasional splurge on a different color, has become a brand for him on his social media channels.

That being said, Gavin doesn't care what his outfits look like, but he does care about looking good in them - which basically means he'll rock literally anything he is comfortable enough to wear, and he's comfortable enough to wear most things. He's more than happy to dress up or down provided someone else is doing the thinking for him on his choice of attire.

Gavin is an adventurous sort, and his body tells the tale - many little scars across his figure tell a life well lived, things he can point to and say "I got this one from falling off a skateboard when I was 13, and this one is from when I worked at the sandwich shop and sliced my arm on the slicer, and this one is from..." and so on. Nothing major or grievous, though. He proudly belongs to the "never broke a bone" club.

Gavin lives in the city of Rosemont -- an old city, founded in the 17th century by its namesake, the Rosemonts, a wealthy family from a European ancestry, who built their family home and turned the hundreds of acres around them into a bustling boomtown in lumber and agriculture. Their massive mansion and the grounds surrounding still stand in the middle of the Historic District to this day as a historic center and museum, although the Rosemonts themselves died out sometime in the 19th century.

Gavin lives in a converted warehouse space in Rosemont's old Industrial Center, a district that went bust when most manufacturing moved out of town decades before. The city is trying to revitalize it through classic gentrification, but it's not had much success. Parts of the area are still seedy and considered the "bad side of town", but some spaces, like where Gavin lives, has begun to thrive among bohemian, artsy types. There's graffiti and junkyard trash everywhere, but there's also art installation and a community garden in one of the empty lots.

Gavin has an apartment on the top floor of this converted warehouse, there's about 10 units in the building of various sizes. Rent is cheap and the leasing manager is literally never around, which is great, and the top floor apartments have a killer view and roof access, but the apartments themselves weren't quite built to code and are shoddy and falling apart. Gavin makes do, counts his blessing that they manage to get good internet in the building, and keeps it pushing.

Gavin has lived a tough life. He's been perpetually poor all of his life, from a working class family, and he didn't do well enough in school to be able to make himself stand out in any meaningful way. Went to college for a degree in communications, but couldn't find a job that wasn't a freelance online article writer where he was expected to churn out SEO-friendly rehashed article content on insane deadlines.

He's always been a hands on guy, likes working with his hands and creating things, and so he decided to give the world of online business a shot. He got a cheap camera and started filming. A slow and steady progress between gig work got him up into the hundred of thousands of subscribers and enough that he was able to make revenue to supplement his income -- but he still hasn't been able to go completely full time with it. He lives paycheck to paycheck and sometimes hand to mouth, just managing to cover his rent and other bills each month.
