As the daughter of the former royal bloodline of the Kingdom of Otren, now the Otren region of the Evelion Empire, Catrina's title is that of Princess within her kingdom and Lady within that of the Empire.

Cat or Kitty is a pet name used among her family and close friends.

As a noble lady, Catrina's role is dual - one is that of a socialite, a lady-in-waiting among the Queen's court during the social season, and the other is that of a diplomat, assisting her brother with her father's affairs in Evelion.

Catrina's body is the product of the blessings of a noble life of corsets and figure training. She is all soft curves, her bosom and hips accentuated by a slim waist. There is, notably, not much by way of muscle.

Her hair has natural curls, kept to about the length of her center back when it's all brushed out. Her hair is always styled in whatever the latest fashion trend is for the time, whether that be braids or buns or intricate designs; along with accessories such as ribbons, pins, flowers, jewelry, and whatever else adorning.

Catrina is always decked out in whatever the finery and fashion is of the day, generally also dripping in the jewels that show off the wealth of House Haviland. She is prepared to change her outfit up to four times a day as required by the different times of day and events at court.

That being said, she also enjoys being a trendsetter in her own way, and likes to design ladies' clothes, and either works with her favorite clothier shops or sews models for some of the less intricate pieces herself.

Catrina is pale in the way most redheads are, so any markings are plainly visible to see. That being said, the only real prominent markings are freckles, scattered all across her body and primarily across the bridge of her nose and the tops of her cheeks.

She is blessed from the life of a noble lady and therefore is mostly all soft skin, without callouses or scars. However, she does have two distinct marks - the first is a birthmark near her right shoulder blade close to her spine, and the second is a small scar on the underside of her knee from a horse riding accident as a child.

Catrina's life has never been her own. As the eldest daughter, and with 3 older brothers who would have to split the household between them as their inheritance, Catrina has only ever had two goals in life: the first, to carve out a piece of her father's trade empire for herself, and the second, to marry into the royal family.

She was always to be wielded as a tool for her family's gain, and Cat has known nothing else her whole life. Her entire life has been in pursuit of becoming the 'perfect lady'. The princess of a fallen kingdom within the Empire's clutches, whose marriage might be able to either win the freedom of her people or at least raise the prestige of House Haviland to be above the other vassal kingdoms to the Evelion Empire.

Catrina uses every single tool and resource available to a woman within the Evelion Empire. She is intelligent, well-read, and charming. She can speak three languages fluently, the native language of the Evelion Empire and that of its two closest neighbors and allies; as well as holding at least basic conversations in regional empire dialects as well as any foreign lands who might be a trade partner with House Haviland.

She is an excellent politician and strategist -- she has been a lady-in-waiting in the Queen's court since shortly after her debut and spends most court seasons managing the family affairs in the capital alongside one of her older brothers while her father maintains their estate and holdings in the Otren region.

However, Catrina is also known to have a cold attitude with those she dislikes and a hot temper when provoked. She is comfortable exchanging barbed words with a political enemy but can be easily flustered in unexpected situations. She has to have time to think before she acts, or she can shut down and lash out. She works much better behind the scenes or alongside someone else than entirely on her own.

She also has no experience with anything outside of the world of courtly life and politics she was raised in. She has awareness but little understanding of the common folk and knows absolutely no self defense except what is befitting for a lady to know; which is nearly nothing except how to wield a small knife. She can hunt, but only for sport, not for survival. She has never known true danger, or a lack of comfort for longer than a day's ride, on horseback or most often by carriage.

Duke Reagan di Haviland - the current Head of House Haviland, Catrina's father. Grandson of the last King of Otren, who was forced to bend the knee to the Evelion Empire and become one of their regions. He should have been a King, and he is still considered a King within Otren, but his official title within the ranks of the Evelion Empire is merely 'Duke'.

He is an incredibly successful and savvy businessman but he is no soldier; his tactical skills are with a trade treatise and not a battlefield.

Catrina is the eldest daughter, but the fourth born child. She has 3 elder brothers -- Damien, Micah, and Nathaniel -- who are all married, with a nephew and two nieces between them. Then she has a younger sister, Viola, and baby brother Markus, who is but 10.
