On a sunny, beautiful day in the small town, a small child was crossing the road. He was careless, as he had even forgotten to look both ways before he crossed. This proved to be a fatal mistake. A blue, mud-caked car barreled down the road, and the child was unfortunate enough to get hit. He was rushed towards the hospital, but the attempts to save his life were futile. The child died. But a long, long time later, on a dark and windy Halloween night, a sad, lonely man had found an old, ripped book on the cold cement, beside some scattered candy. He had heard rumors that on Halloween night, the thin veil that separated the living from the dead was lifted, so he decided to check it out. It was, as expected, a necromancy book, holding the darkest secrets inside. But the spells came with a cost. If you used them, you would turn.. Into something that wasn’t a human. The man thought that this was just some rubbish that tried to keep people out, as he strutted towards the graveyard. He found a cracked, lonely grave that had a single dandelion placed onto it. It was the gravestone of the child! The man started to speak the ancient incantation, and the ground rumbled and glew, as a ghastly specter clawed its way out of the land of the dead, and held out its hand to greet the man. It was the child! The man, though, fell to the ground in pain. He was now covered in vines and apple seeds (as apples were the child’s favorite food) and when he recovered.. he was an apple. The man was seemingly unaffected by this, though, as he hesitantly shook the ghost’s hand. The ghost was James, and he gingerly put the dandelion into his jumpsuit’s pocket. The man instructed James to scare people at first, but James was just too nice, so the man gave up. But when the sun crept up into the sky, James started to solidify.. And James was a skeleton! Now, James and his “parent” are happily together most of the time.
