Meiko was born to a slave family in Northern Myria. At 2, her parents were killed for trying to escape. The slave owners chose to adopt her in order to seem more progressive. At 12, she came across a revolutionary named Sarah, who Meiko became infatuated with. They secretly dated for a year, when the Apollonian government found and killed Sarah. Meiko was then jailed indefinitely. After six years, she lead a prison escape. Angry, she began trying to fight Apollonian soldiers, but to no avail. She eventually ran into Jack, who saw potential in her and offered to trained her.
