Reading and Painting, even though she is not talented at it, her mom would always paint things she thought were beautiful. This calms Claire down and comforts her because when she was with her mom it was the happiest part of her childhood.

She chews her nails when she is upset and she fidgets with a small gear she keeps in her pocket when she is nervous.

She reads people really well, and has a knack for mechanics. And though she hates to admit it she plays the piano decently.

Claire can act tough and sarcastic when you first meet her, but with time she comes out of her shell as a genuinely kind and funny person. She is incredibly loyal and will stick with you through thick and thin, but if you betray her trust, she will move on. Her faith isn't in people. For Claire, actions speak louder than words.

Claire's mother left home at 17 to escape her overbearing parents. At 18, Claire was born and so her mother raised her as a single parent. Claire grew up in a two bedroom apartment with her mother. She helped her mom a lot and matured quickly. Her mother painted for a hobby and worked a full time job. Claire did her best in school but didn't have many friends. At age 14 a fire started in her apartment building and her mother died of smoke inhalation. Claire suffered 3rd degree burns. They healed but left burn scars over her abdomen and around to her lower back. She was sent to live in a foster home. The foster parents were alright. The other kids didn't particularly like her, but they got on fine. The only person she could really trust was a confident and snarky asexual guy named Zach, who was always there for her. They were friends all through high school. He always tried to get her to read more often, and gave her a copy of 'Huckleberry Fin.' Zach went to college to become a Neurosurgeon. Claire was considering applying for a police academy when Zach was killed in a car accident. Claire became an addict in her grief. She stole perscription meds and eventually overdosed. She spent the next two years in rehab. Afterward she got a better job and tried to rebuild her life. She started taking online college courses in psychology and engineering.

Claire has a service dog she got when she was in therapy named Noodles. He is a 5 year old Pomeranian.
