When down, December's hair falls to her waist and she always styles it by rolling the ends up to her hairline and securing it with a pin. Her bangs frame her face and are always sticking out and tangled, though the rest of her hair is quite neat.

When nervous, she twirls her bangs, disturbing them even more. When angry and aggravated she bites down hard on her bottom lip.

December strives to fit in to SOMA and escape the apprehensive glances she always gets. She wants to fit in and be loved by everyone.

Cold, disconnected, and distrusting around people besides Hera. As kind as she knows how to the animals she studies. Insecure and feels for people suffering embarrassment, dislike, shame, insecurity and then stifles the feeling because she won't allow herself to feel sorry for the people who hate her.
Everyone tries to avoid her and ignores her when she talks to them, so she quit talking.
Basically, she is cold, distrusting, depressed, and looking for an escape.
The one person she likes and who returns the favor is Hera. She is the person who keeps December happy.
Cares only for Hera

She was taught by SOMA to read, write, and do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Though she doesn't remember, December came from a poor family in Albuquerque. Her mother died when she was about 2 and her father quickly remarried and once her younger half-siblings came into existence, December was forgotten, and at the age of 4, pushed into the streets because their too many mouths to feed. Hera rescued her before she could die and brought her to the White Sands reserve. December was in the first batch of Novitiates and the youngest one ever. She was the first to receive gene therapy and because the Originals didn't really know what they were doing or really know what would happen to someone so young, December ended up with the power to control people's minds, making her an outlier and feared by the rest of the Beyonds. She grew up avoided by the other Novitiates and Council Members, seeking companionship in her file leader, Hera. After Hera's murder, she decides to leave SOMA and try to live with Ordinaries. She got her nickname when she was six when someone remarked that she was so icy that they should call her December instead of April and it stuck.
