She can copy other people's magic abilities which made her family originally believe that she had just gotten all of her mother's magics. She did not.

Rose always believed that she was overshadowed by Meira Adderson because of how perfect she was. So she acted out and was a different as possible. She chopped her hair off and picked on her younger brothers. she skipped lessons and climbed the roof. She hated her twin sister for being so perfect and for being so carefree. Didn't she understand that if she was perfect she would have no freedom?

It was discovered she was a mimic after she began to deteriorate mentally when she was 11. Her parents took her to a healer who took her to a priest. Together they decided that she was a mimic and would die within the year or should be allowed to die within the year.
Rose denied it of course but continued to deteriorate mentally. She began to push away the help around her and talked more so to herself while locking herself away in her room or other rooms.
Her parents tried to find a cure for her and managed to keep the ordeal under the cover of an illness rather then mimicry. Roughly a year after her diagnosis she jumped from the roof and killed herself, believing to be able to fly.
