She wears a business style bob. Short at the shoulders, layered and curled so it is spiked out. She wears her bands mostly brushed over her part

She has a small smattering of freckles that appear in the sun light. She also has a jagged red scar on the back of her hand from the space between her thumb and pointer to her writs.

She gets cluster migraines from her magic. Also she has magic which is like having bad asthma. It tires her out and makes it hard to breathe when overexerting herself.

She is a perfect lady. She grew up in the late 1800's, early 1900's therefore was taught by her parents how to be a lady. However, when she is feeling good/positive emotions she rubs her hands together and plays with her fingers. When mad, upset, and other negative emotions she rolls her neck a lot and paces. When lost in thought or really really focused on something she chews on her lower lip.

She believes that Mages are better than humans and that they should run the world. This comes from years of being bullied as a kid by hummies and realizing how much more powerful than them she was. She also wants to kill Maybel Elliot as she "stole" her fiance from her.

She is very set in her ways, once she makes her mind up she is impossible to reason with. She also is very self conscious and will go off on someone if she even thinks they are judging her.

She hates hummies as they bullied her as a kid.
She also thinks marriage is a farce and thinks love is fake after her engagement was broken off by letter.

Outside of her magic, her mother was a seamstress and learned from her how to make and repair clothes and is quite good at it.

She likes to paint, sit in nature to get inspiration, doodle clothes on whatever surface she can write on. Make fun of people behind their backs. Mess with the police whenever she can without getting caught.

She really is a sweet girl, sort of dumb but has a good heart. She used to be very kind and generous but these days she has a mean streak. She is very petty and will talk about anyone behind their back to someone else. She is loyal as all get out to Amos and would anything for him.

March 2, 1899

Mara was born to Mr. and Mrs. Baker who owned a tailor shop in New York state. She had a childhood best friend Colin who she grew up with. The pair were neighbors and as his father was a fisherman and he had several siblings her family would take him in over the summer. When she was 8 she got very sick one winter and when she finally came round anything she touched changed color. She started playing with it, when Colin started disappearing and spending time at the Elliot estate, where his mother worked. She was upset about that but they still got to spend time together and by the time she was 16 she was head over heels for this 14 year old kid. He also was one of the only people who could see past her oddly shaded hair that would change rapidly depending on her feelings. When he turned 16 he proposed to her and she enthusiastically agreed. Their families were happy for them but due to lack of money they had to postpone their wedding day. He took up a job in the Elliot estate as well to try and help. He became increasingly distant but she still held out hope, and continued to experiment with her magic as well. The Christmas of '22 the Elliot's hosted a massive Christmas party. Colin got invited and he brought her along. There she met the Elliot's mysterious daughter Maybel, who she could instantly see liked her man. But she too was engaged to a young man named Amos. After that night Maybel began to come visit Colin at his home angering Jezebel further. The very next summer ('23) Maybel was invited to a school in the South and she invited Colin to join her. He agreed to help her move her things by train there promising to return home to marry Jezebel. Weeks went by, then months, then a year. Colin left no address so Jezebel wrote letters and put them in a box to give him upon his return. Then the letter came in the mail with no return address. It was from Colin breaking off their engagement stating he found his place at this school with Maybel. Rumors of magic in people were circulating at this time as well forcing Mara to conceal herself as she was so emotionally unstable everything was changing colors around her all the time. 6 months after her heart was broken Amos came to her and proposed they work together. His evidence was convincing that she could be something more than just a girl with a broke heart and weird features. She fell for his doctrine and has been working with him to destroy the human world and maybel and colin ever since.

She went to elementary school and then was trained by her mother to be a seamstress

She still had her engagement ring from Colin, just so when she rules the world she can force him to marry her
