Daxon's dad left his mother when he found out she was pregnant. He grew up fairly poor and raised party by his uncle, due to the fact that his mother had to work multiple jobs to support her and her son.
He and his mother were actually very close, and she was able to be home more after going back to school, earning a diploma and her CNA licence. She and Daxon rarely fought, and spent a lot of time together.
Daxon came out when he was in 7th grade. His mother, uncle, and friends were all extremely supportive. He received insults from classmates on occasion, so he tried to 'tone down' his flamboyant personality. He eventually gave that up, though, realising that what other people thought really didn't matter.
