Cordelia was “offered” to the Temple of the Water Deity by her parents when she was 5. In reality her parents sold her off to the temple so they didn’t have to worry about another mouth to feed and can have meal for themselves for about a month. Cordelia resented her parents for this and vowed to never give them a second thought. She decided to study The Divine’s History and wanted to know the cause for the divide. The more Cordelia studied life before the Divide, the more she wanted to recreate it. One day Cordelia was transferred to serve The Temple of Darkness because they have less members than this one. She picked up on her studies again noticing some differences in The Divine’s History. While studying she ran into her roommate Ayla. Alya had asked what she was studying and deciding that she needed to tell someone this told Ayla. Ayla seemed intrigued. Cordelia decided to bring it up with one of the higher members of the Temple. He had simply replied that when the Divines split their stories slightly altered a bit. Cordelia wasn’t completely satisfied with that answer and he could tell so after she finished her studies here he would ask if the Realm of Earth would take you in to see the differences there and when you finish there if you want we’d see if they will allow you to study in the Light Realm. Cordelia told Ayla about her mission and promised she’d return and allow them to carry out their plan. While studying in The Earth Realm she heard rumours of an incident and had to send a child away to the light realm because of her mother’s age. She asked the what child’s name was and found out it was Eshne. Cordelia thought that it was pretty cruel to do that to a child but kept quiet so she had a better chance of getting to the Light Realm. Cordelia had stumbled upon some information that had made her doubt the Divine of Light’s judgement and lost faith that we even needed the Divines. Cordelia’s application to go to the light realm was rejected due to her having lived at the dark realm. Cordelia realized that she would never know the history in the divine of Light’s realm without being there and had to break in. On her first day she saw a girl who looked to be out of place. She thought it could be the child she learned about that the Earth Realm called an incident. She heard another girl call out her name, Eshne. One night she saw the girl sneak out and by complete impulse grabbed her in an alley. Cordelia told her some of her story and told her to come back at the next full moon and I’ll tell you more. She returned that night but, instead the girl asked more about her. Cordelia told her about her dreams and what she knew and saw the light in Eshe’s eyes. Cordelia smiled at the thought that her goal was something people wanted. They kept meeting up.
