There was a man, who was simply known as the Protector. And he was dang good at his job. He was a bodyguard, one of the best, and he was hired to protect many important figures throughout his lifetime, one being a certain Archbishop before this woman took his spot. But that didn't happen because the Archbishop didn't like him. He was killed protecting the Archbishop from the crossbow attacks sent his way. He didn't know about the plans for the attack, so he was a little bit sluggish on the uptake of his protection when he noticed the crossbows. He immediately starting running to the Archbishop to tackle him to get him to safety, but he realized he was too late for that. He decided to sacrifice himself, jumping in front of the crossbow shot that he knew was headed to the Archbishop. He fell back, knowing he was damaged for the last time. As he laid down on the ground however, he noticed a green haired woman with crossbows sticking out of her back do what he was planning to do and smiled a little bit. A new guard already. That smile was short lived though as he died a couple seconds later as the rampage went on around him.

An hour later, one of the major wizards of the empire nearby found the Protector dead on the streets, and called a blacksmith over to him. Pretty soon, the whole town gathered to look over and mourn over the fallen bodyguard, for he was well loved and respected in the empire. The wizard had an idea, and looked to the blacksmith. "Can you make armor?" was the wizards simple question. The blacksmith acknowledged. "Create a suit of armor for this man, purple like the royalty he either was or that he died protecting. He must live on." The blacksmith just nodded and everyone watched as he worked. And a suit of armor it was, very well made and built to protect against many attacks. Long story short, it wasn't going to break anytime soon. Especially with what the wizard was going to do. The suit of armor was brought to the wizard, and the wizard cast a spell. "At the expense of my life, bring this protector back to life. The world needs him more than me." With that the wizard breathed his last and the suit of armor was animated. The Protector looked around at the town, looked down at the wizard, and just said five words. "Thank you. I will protect."
