Noah's serious manner belies his quietly raging inner ambition. Not only does he want to be the best— He feels like he HAS to be. Partly to placate his demanding parents, partly to earn the love and companionship of his friends/peers. Needless to say, boy has ISSUES.

He cares too much about what other people think of him and conflates outward success with happiness. He can be self-aggrandizing in an effort to gain validation.
