Dominique's father left her and her mother before she was born. Her mother struggled to pay bills and Dominique got into more trouble as she got older. Her mother never spoke about him. One day her mother started yelling on the phone and it woke her up from her sleep. "If you ever cared about her or me, you would have stayed. You think you could just waltz back into her life again. You chose your path." Her mom yelled. She saw her and told her to go back to bed. The next day she noticed a man following her she turned around and asked him what he wanted he told her he was her father. She quickly said I don't have a father and ran away. The next day Dominique's mother got a letter from Steffen for custody of Dominique. Emma was crying as her daughter got home with the letter in front of her. The two knew that Steffen would win Emma didn't have enough money for their shabby apartment much less a lawyer. Dominique moved out of the apartment and into Steffen's flashy penthouse. Dominique rarely talked in the house. She resented the fact that he had all this while she and her mom were living in poverty and only now came to claim her as family. She often snuck out and tagged buildings. Only to bring a bad reputation to her father. It was what she enjoyed. She eventually fell into a bad crowd and exploded in anger on them leaving flames all around her. One day she found out that Steffen was the hero Tecton and took in a new form of teenage rebellion and became Red Heart and began causing a newer form of anarchy with her newfound powers,
