When not on duty, she wears a white crop top beneath a black leather jacket, ripped black high-rise jeans, and black combat boots. When on duty, she wears the Lyn Class Tau uniform.

Cold and calculating, direct and indifferent. She has immense faith in her own abilities.

Yui will stop at nothing to become the most skilled bender of all time. She trains when not on duty, and is anxiously awaiting her "Day of Ascension."

She usually only allows herself to form rivalries and enemies, as she believes competition is the only way to better oneself. Occasionally, she'll try dating, but her only goal is to become stronger, either by the two of them being strong together or by becoming a stronger person through the breakup.

She believes that asking for help from anyone is weak, and looks down upon others for doing so.

Yui is a very talented Smoke Elemental, who mastered the basics by age 9. At age 10, she had established a lust for more power and requested a Boost Challenge, which is a challenge created by the higher-ups in The Cult of Lyn that can be undertaken to move up the ascension level of a member. The boost challenge granted to her was to battle another Smoke Elemental. After being defeated by the other Smoke Elemental in battle, the other Smoke Elemental was granted immediate admission to their "Day of Ascension," and she was pushed back down from an ascension level 3 to a level 6.

Yui tends to employ a strategy of bluffing her abilities, using Smoke-bending to create illusions, often hiding her location, creating a hologram-esque 'doppelganger' to distract and bluff out her enemies. While that's going on, she uses LKD(s) (Lyn Brass Knuckles) as her main form of damage dealing. Despite not looking it, she's very strong and packs a heck of a punch. When facing a particularly difficult opponent, she changes her strategy a little, condensing the gas around her illusions and using them to attack as well. Occasionally, she'll use a signature 'finishing move' she came up with herself, where she violently forces the air around her opponent to move away, causing a vacuum to form. Then, she releases, causing an incredibly powerful and dangerous implosion as the air rushes inwards. It takes a lot of effort and concentration for her to create a vacuum, so she usually only uses this as a last-ditch effort.

Yui practices Lynism, or the main religion of The Cult of Lyn.

Yui is a Class Tau Private for The Cult of Lyn, the lowest of the non-pupil classes. She is incredibly frustrated with this and believes herself better than the other privates, but is unaware that that specific attitude is what's keeping her such a low class.
