Permanent dark circles around eyes, large gray raccoon ears on top of his head (as well as an absence of human ears).

Payden likes wearing graphic t-shirts and plaid button-up overshirts. Payden prefers cool colors and light colors, and when smithing ties his overshirt around his waist, wears goggles, and wears headphones to hold his ears down to keep them safe from accidental burns. He keeps the headphones around his neck when not smithing, and will sometimes play music out of them. Being a tinkerer, he's modified the speakers to be facing the outside of the headphones, so that he can listen to the music as headphones aren't designed for raccoon ears on top of his head. He's tried creating headphones that he can wear, but in his own words, "They were goofy as hell, so I'll just stick with my speakerphones (his modified headphones)."

Mischievous, hard-working, a bit of a jokester, and really sweet.

Payden is a defender of the defenseless, a friend to those who need it. He'd do anything for his friends. In his work, he aims to please, and works really hard on each and every tool he produces.

Payden is much too trusting, and a bit naive at times.

Payden is a talented toolsmith, and it great at visualizing gadgets and then bringing them to life. A great intuitive understanding of 3D space allows him to design things at lightning speeds.

Payden successfully turned his hobby of making gadgets into a living, and runs a smith shop what people can come to get custom-made electronics of all kinds.

Payden tries not to fight, and when engaged in combat usually just tries to run away. The only time he'll willingly fight somebody is if they are threatening to hurt somebody, especially his friends. When fighting then, he tends to rely on using his Metal-bending and his gadgets, usually making use of his personal favorite, The Piston. When he truly battles, he tends to dodge until he finds a weakness or opening in his opponent's patterns, then strikes fast and hard.

Payden works as a freelance gadget and tool creator, and runs a shop all by himself.

Payden and Trunk Herrera have been friends ever since 7th grade when Payden defended him from a bully that was threatening to beat him up. They were fast friends, and were pretty much inseparable together all throughout high school. Payden and Trunk planned to open a tool shop together, but when Trunk was recruited to fight The Cult of Lyn, Payden was left alone. Payden still opened the shop, and texts and calls Trunk often. Occasionally Trunk will visit Payden for a new gadget, a repair, or sometimes just to see him, saying that he misses Payden often and how he wishes he could help run the shop.
