Energy beings are just that — living beings made entirely from Magical Energy. Their bodies are most commonly composed of Neutral Energy which has been made dense enough to allow for physical contact. They have Souls like any other being, as well as rudimentary internal organs made of denser energy, controlled only by the subconscious, that provide important bodily functions without the same complexity as their physical counterparts. This includes the Energy Channels, which are made from denser neutral energy than normal to separate them from the rest of the body.

Physical Characteristics

While energy beings can theoretically have any appearance as long as there is enough energy to hold their body together, there are several traits common between them. Many are slightly translucent, though not all — if their structural energy is dense enough, they can appear solid. The colors in their appearance are usually muted or pale, but sometimes not, also due to their body's density. They have no blood, with any tint to their skin caused by the natural coloring of neutral energy. They also do not need to eat or drink to survive, though they are physically able to, and most still experience a sense of taste.

Finally, all energy beings are biologically immortal: they do not physically age, but they can be killed if their bodies are compromised and too much internal energy is lost or disrupted.

Abilities

Energy beings are able to control the density of their bodies to a certain extent, similar to moving a normal muscle. This afford them two notable powers: passing through solid matter, and levitation. The distance from the ground at which they may float is inversely proportional to their size.
