Since then, those who have studied qualya hypothesize that this creature is capable of controlling a wide variety of other underground critters, and uses a form of shared mind to remain largely undetected by predators or inquisitive human eyes. This induction into the shared mind seems to leave many creatures with deep discolorations on their skin or cancerous tumors within, yet no autopsies have revealed a chemical or biological cause that links them directly to qualya.
