Overview
Erebos
Once, the Spirit of the underworld, where evil souls went to await their reincarnation.
Erebos was tasked to look after the souls of those who lived bad lives, and guide them, where necessary. However, his outlook on his duty, and position as Spirit started to change.
He eventually fell to corruption and became the first evil Spirit, creating and causing horrible situations for the world of the living and also his fellow Spirits,
Fallen Spirit, Lord of Hell, Corruptor
Appearance
Erebos' skin used to be white, when he still nobly carried out his duty. His hair was long and black, making him look much more divine. He wore a long kilt-like robe, with a thick band that went over his shoulder.
Once he turned to evil, his once so light skin turned a dusty red, his long hair became wild and feathered. Out of his head grew large, dark horns, and his claws grew from his fingertips.
The robe he donned became charred and decorated with bones.
Personality
Erebos used to be a being of honour. He was devoted to his duty, and treated the lost souls with discipline and understanding, as the noble guide he was.
Now, he carries deep feelings of envy and hatred towards his fellow Spirits, the Creator and everything they brought into existence. His arrogance knows no bounds. He believes that that Creator has abandoned the Spirits, and that he should be the one to lead in his place.
The lost souls who come to his realm, are further corrupted, by his twisted and cruel influences.
History
At some point in time, he began to see himself as master of the underworld and its inhabitants, rather than their guide and guardian. He slowly began to rebel against the other Spirits, undoing their work out of spite and envy. He turned the underworld into what is now know as Hell. A place of punishment and suffering for any who ends up in it. Those who are evil and powerful enough, he recruits as his demons. Erebos' appearance also changed, to match his evil deeds.
He eventually also created a Spirit of pure hatred and chaos, in hopes that it would carry out his will, but this being prove to be uncontrollable and incredibly powerful, and it broke free from his bonds. Nobody knows where it went to, after that.
