Overview
Keres
War scythe
Keres is Lillian Bloodmare's signature weapon. It is a scythe forged by the Dark Empress and the ancient mage herself specifically for Lillian's use.
Looks
An unknown metal alloy from a comet mixed with dragon scales and steel were smelted to form the blade and parts of the handle. Keres was forged in dragon's fire and black flame. The materials used for its creation give the metal a gunmetal black color.
Its handle is wrapped in black leather.
170lbs
History
This weapon was made more than two thousand years ago. The exact date is unknown.
Abilities
Keres's blade absorbs enemy souls and converts them into strange, mindless demonic mutations that can be seen clawing at the surface from the inside of Keres' hilt. These creatures can be unleashed by the weapon's owner for a short period of time, and are obedient to whoever holds the scythe. When the creatures are inside of the scythe, Keres's blade can absorb magic and its edge cannot be broken. When the creatures are out, the scythe cannot absorb magic and its edge CAN be broken - but it's unknown if breaking the scythe's blade would release the demons or trap them on the surface world.
The Scythe itself can be broken into two parts for dual wielding - the primary piece being the blade and the end of it's long handle as a large gun that gets its energy either from the demons within the blade, or from Lillian herself - whichever is stronger at the time (it is almost always feeding from Lillian). The weapon can also morph/change into a sword or a lance, as desired.
Keres is kept upon her person at all times, disguised as a piece of jewelry - typically her earrings.
