Spoken Froggese has two parts – verbal and gestural. Spoken words communicate simple ideas like nouns and verbs, and hand gestures are added to express grammatical nuance such as tense and location. Like the culture of its speakers, however, it has no focus on gender whatsoever.

The direction in which Froggese is written changes its grammatical context. Entire stories can form spiraling labyrinths that are difficult to read without extensive training.
